Created in 2004 by Ghislain Morillion and Sébastien Kopp, the brand Veja offers eco-responsible sneakers and fashion accessories designed in Brazil. The Sneakers ecological Veja are made of organic cotton canvas, cultivated according to the principles of agro-ecology, by small producers, without fertilizers or pesticides. Organic cotton canvas from the Brazilian Nordeste, leather tanned with acacia, wild rubber soles from the Amazon, the materials used respect both man and the environment. The rubber used in the soles of the sneakers Veja comes directly from the Amazon, the only place in the world where rubber trees grow wild. Veja uses only leather tanned from acacia extracts, without chrome or heavy metals. The project Veja creates a positive, sustainable and ethical chain from producer to consumer, reducing intermediaries to a minimum. The transport from Brazil is done by boat, then, once in France, Veja works in partnership with the association of insertion by work ASF (Ateliers Sans Frontières) which takes care of the logistics and the forwarding of the orders.
