When you think Tropezian, you think... K.Jacques, of course: since 1933, the mythical brand of luxury sandals straight from Saint-Tropez has been dressing generations of artists, filmmakers and other personalities from all over the world, from Brigitte Bardot to Picasso, or more recently, Angelina Jolie or Michelle Obama. The fruit of family know-how passed on by Jacques Keklikian and his wife Elise, now recognised as a Living Heritage Company, K.Jacques is the Tropezian brand of sandals that are as refined as they are elegant, robust and creative. A must-have!

Frequently asked questions about the brand K.Jacques

  • Where does the brand K.Jacques come from?

The brand K.Jacques originates from Saint-Tropez. In 1933, Jacques and Élise Keklikian opened their shop-workshop at 39 rue Allard, in Saint-Tropez. This couple of Armenian refugees started making sandals with leather straps. Their shoes were quickly found on the feet of artists and filmmakers who had adopted Saint-Tropez as their holiday resort, and became emblematic of the region.

  • Where are the sandals made K.Jacques ?

All K.Jacques sandals are still made in Saint-Tropez. The workshop has changed address several times since its beginnings, but always remains faithful to its town of origin. The brand is a family business run by the children and grandchildren of Jacques and Elise. All models are handmade by craftsmen with a unique know-how.

  • Where does the leather for K.Jacques sandals come from?

K.Jacques uses top-quality leathers for its sandals, and works with tanners based in France, Italy and Spain. This commitment to local know-how contributes to the quality of K.Jacques creations, designed to be worn for years to come.
  • How to size the brand K.Jacques ?

The K.Jacques brand runs rather small. If you are in between sizes, it is therefore recommended to take the next size up to ensure that your sandals will fit you well.

K.Jacques can also make custom-made models on request to fit particular sizes or needs.

  • What to wear with K.Jacques ?

The K.Jacques sandals are perfect for the summer and can be worn on the beach or at a wedding. The brand offers models with flat soles or heels, to be worn with more or less formal outfits. The simple and elegant lines of these timeless sandals will complement any summer outfit.

  • How to clean K.Jacques ?

You can clean the soles and smooth leathers of your sandals K.Jacques with cleansing milk or body lotion. Natural leather sandals, or greasy leather, do not require any special care, but can be cleaned with a dry cloth. This type of leather develops a natural patina over time. To clean suede sandals, use a mattress sponge.

In case of a stain on nubuck, a white rubber can help you remove it. If your sandals are really badly stained, you can call on the brand's repair service.

  • How to get K.Jacques repaired?

The brand K.Jacques offers a repair service. To benefit from this service, simply contact the brand via its website, indicating the problems encountered and attaching photos of the sandals. An initial diagnosis is then made to establish an estimate. You can then send your sandals by post to the Saint-Tropez workshop, which will take care of the repairs. The delay is about 15 days, but can be longer or shorter depending on the time of year.
