Find Your California

As a visual array of creations bringing together her different talents as an artist, designer and photographer, Nico Guilis created her brand Find Your California to be able to express herself freely and create unique pieces. After spending her childhood in California and studying film and art, the designer was clearly inspired by her surroundings. True to the spirit of her native land, her collections have a strong vintage identity, which could lead one to believe that her designs were unearthed in a West Coast frippe. Nico got into design after taking a year away from photography and started by developing her own custom surfboard model. Shown at the Montauk surflodge, the LA Designers exhibition at Le Bon Marché in Paris and the Miami art show, her first collection quickly got noticed. Constantly juggling the worlds of fashion and surf culture, Nico imagines and tests her ideas by applying her creative collages on surfboards or suitcases that she finds everywhere, and by making her own tie and dye on clothes. It girls from all over the world have been snapping up her pieces and posing for her all over the world, from Vanessa Hudgens to Ashley Benson to Dree Hemingway.
