The leather used for these boots is French calf leather, sourced from Aveyron and tanned by the prestigious Haas tannery in Alsace. Owned by Chanel, this tannery embodies the excellence of French know-how and ensures the continuity of Métiers d'Art.
These boots are made from full-grain fat leather, retanned with hot grease, for long-lasting waterproofing and exceptional protection.
You may notice white marks on the surface of the boots. Don't worry, this is normal: it's simply the protective grease that comes out when the boots are not worn.
To remove these marks, simply heat the affected area with a hair dryer or heat gun for one minute, and the marks will quickly disappear. Avoid rubbing to remove the protective grease.
