Diadora

Embrace sportswear chic with our selection of sneakers and Sneakers from Diadora. Find the ultimate pair in our stores or on our website. > Find out more about Diadora

In Greek, "dia-dora" means to share gifts and honors. A philosophy that makes sense for this Sneakers brand, whose models are inspired by the world of sports. Founded in 1948, Diadora began life as a craftsman's workshop for mountain boots, and went on to develop models primarily for the sporting world. The 2000s marked a new impetus for Diadora , which combined its sportswear vision with more fashionable models from Sneakers and launched its Heritage line, a veritable cultural phenomenon. Combining style and performance became the brand's guiding principle, and numerous collaborations straddling the two worlds followed.

Frequently asked questions about the brand Diadora

  • What does Diadora mean?

The term "Dia-dora" comes from the Greek and means "to share gifts and honours".

Derrière cette formule, la marque met l'accent sur plusieurs valeurs qui lui sont chères, telles que le partage des victoires, le sens de l'équipe dans la pratique compétitive du sport et le respect de ses coéquipiers.

  • Where does the brand Diadora come from?

The sporting goods brand Diadora was founded in 1948 by Marcello Danieli, an Italian shoemaker. Originally, the brand specialised in the handmade production of hiking boots for soldiers who had to walk in the Italian Alps.

In the 1960s, Marcello's sons took over the family business and gave the brand a new strategic impetus by adopting an innovative marketing concept to promote the brand: equipping the big names in running, football and tennis. In the 1970s, it was not uncommon to see the brand's name associated with famous athletes.

  • Where are the shoes made Diadora ?

The models in the Heritage range are manufactured at the company's headquarters in Montebelluna, not far from the Dolomites in the Alps. A total of 200 pairs of shoes are produced every day in a virtually handmade fashion.

The brand also has other more affordable collections manufactured in Romania, Portugal and Asia.

  • How do you prune Sneakers Diadora ?

The brand Diadora sizes normally, but some models (like the Heritage) tend to fit a little small. For more comfort, especially if you are between sizes, we recommend that you take the size above your usual size.

Please note that the brand recommends measuring your foot before purchasing. In this case, please refer to the size chart on the brand's website. In addition, Diadora offers half sizes and recommends that you take the measurement of your smallest foot as a reference if you want a tight fit. Conversely, choose the largest size if you want to be comfortable.

  • What to wear with Diadora ?

Versatile, the Sneakers Diadora can be worn in all seasons and go with most outfits. They will be your best allies in sports activities, associated with leggings and a tank top. But they'll also work well with jeans and casual clothes for a head-to-toe casual look. And there's nothing to stop you from pairing the essential Heritage sneaker with a dressier outfit to emphasize comfort without compromising on style.

  • How to clean shoes Diadora ?

Here are some good and simple habits to adopt to take care of your Sneakers.

    • Do not put your Sneakers Diadora in the washing machine (except for the laces). To maintain them, follow these tips:
    • Mix a teaspoon of baking soda, soap and a few drops of lemon in warm water. Scrub your sneakers carefully with a moistened, non-abrasive sponge, avoiding delicate areas.
    • Use a clean, dry cloth to remove excess water and air dry your Sneakers away from a heat source.
  • Diadora is it an ethical brand?

Diadora 's commitment and performance in sustainability has earned it the EcoVadis Gold Medal, the world's leading tracker of social, environmental and ethical performance in global supply chains, in 2019.

In addition, the Italian brand selects the materials that make up its products according to strict dirability criteria. For example, Diadora has systematically chosen organic cotton to reduce its environmental impact.

When it comes to packaging, Diadora has adopted environmentally friendly solutions. For example, the Heritage shoeboxes are made from recyclable paper made from seaweed.
