Barrie

Specialising in the manufacture of cashmere pieces, the Scottish company Barrie cashmere mainly offers cotton and cashmere jumpers, cardigans and jackets. In 1920, Gabrielle Chanel called on its services to knit the famous two-tone cashmere jumper, which opened the doors of the house to other great names in fashion and led the CHANEL group to acquire it in 2012. Each collection is designed in Paris in the house's creative workshop and made in Hawick, Scotland, using a traditional method with optimised and dyed fibres. Designers, programmers and pattern makers work hand in hand to offer limitless creativity in design. Augustin Dol-Maillot joined the CHANEL studio alongside Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard and has been the artistic director of the house Barrie since 2018. He puts his graphic and modern vision as well as his taste for streetwear at the service of the house; and designs a sweet revolution for cashmere.
